Anthropologie @King’s road

I am not big on going for a stroll by myself for no particular reason. If I do head out by myself, I usually have a purpose of doing so, meeting up with a friend or out looking for something to purchase.

Today is one of those days when the weather is absolutely gorgeous but no one is around to enjoy it with me. My all time best friend Dena keeps telling me to just go out and spend time with yourself, it isn’t too bad she says. She’s absolutely right.

Been walking around the area I live in, South Kensington/Chelsea and was amazed how different you see the world by just observing and listening, having no one next to you cloud your mind and distract you from seeing things as they are.

From a creative and inspirational point of view, it has been very fulfilling. I walked in to Anthropologie on King’s road and for the first time looking past the items they’re selling to look at the things that have equal amount of purchase power, if not more, than the item they’re selling themselves. The visual merchandising and the choise of interiors and decorative objects: How transforming spaces within a space to give off specific type of moods for the specific thing you are looking for. For that summer outfit hanging in front of that farmhouse wooden wall feauture, subconsiously painting up an image in your head of you walking down the beaches of Cote D’Azur. Sold.

Here are some images of the store. Incredibly clever design. Relaxed, nostalgic, rustic, industrial and feminine.  Definetely my style of interiors.
